Jon Meier

President

Jon, an aeronautical engineer in a prior life, founded Backcountry Containers in February 2016. Designing unique and simple solutions to complex problems has always been one of his strongest attributes. Like most engineers, he has always enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. Jon uses his engineering background to design and develop unique, functional, and structurally sound custom container builds. His custom builds have been featured on networks such as HGTV and DIY. Jon and his wife Kristen were featured on their own DIY Network TV show ‘Containables’, which was centered around Backcountry Containers. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University.

Brant Flowers

CPA by trade, Brant spent four years in public accounting at PriceWaterhouseCoopers before spending the next six years in the construction industry. Brant oversees the standard model offering. He brings strategic leadership and a growth-oriented vision to Backcountry Containers centered around his approach of delivering an exceptional product while providing exceptional customer service. Brant earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting from Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas.

Michael Eggert

Vice President Finance

Michael Eggert is the Executive VP of Finance at Backcountry Containers and has held similar CFO level positions for other companies, both large and small, over the term of his career. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and an MBA, with a concentration in Finance & International Business from University of St. Thomas, Cameron School of Business.

Micah Mansfield

Vice President Sales

Micah previously worked for 11 years in Fintech and Healthcare, holding various management positions in the fields of operations and technology. Micah more recently has held the position of Vice President of Operations and Sales at an E-Commerce Fulfillment Warehouse in Houston, TX. His customer relationship and team management skills are unmatched in the industry and are crucial to fostering positive sales relationships with both current and prospective customers. Micah holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Texas A&M in Canyon, TX, with a concentration in Business and Management Information Systems.

James Belmont

Vice President Operations

James oversees all design, project management, and quality control of a Backcountry Containers build. He has forged his construction career from the real-world experiences of designing, crafting, and managing custom home projects: From the world of tiny homes to the 20,000+ sqft mansions of Aspen Colorado. His attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to think on his feet make James an invaluable member of our team. He prides himself on quality and works hard to ensure that every container home project exceeds our client's expectations while maintaining clear, open, and honest dialogue throughout the process.

George Flowers

George Flowers is the President, Founder and Owner of several businesses in the logistics industry that are based out of Houston, TX. George has been successful at developing teams and facilitating their focus on customer goals and objectives. George is a CPA and was an Accounting and Finance Assistant Professor at Houston Baptist University for 15 years. George holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Purdue University and an MBA, with a concentration in Finance from University of Wisconsin School of Business.
