The Oshkosh Creekside Container

Located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, this custom container home is a more contemporary version of our original farmhosue design. Four 40-foot high cube shipping containers form the exterior of the home, with two containers positioned on each side of a spacious, site-built Great Room.

Backcountry Containers provided the roughed-in container portions of the home, completing the metalwork, structural steel reinforcement, framing, electrical, plumbing, exterior paint, and installation of windows and doors. Our team then delivered and assembled the four containers on-site.

From there, the homeowner’s general contractor completed the central Great Room and roof structure on-site to create one cohesive home. The result is a unique hybrid approach that uses shipping containers for the home’s primary wings while taking advantage of traditional construction to create a large, open central living space.
